Presence of animals, Path to self reconnection
Guided by a passion for healing, Mélanie has been supporting individuals with care and compassion for over 14 years, embracing a holistic and personalized approach. As the centre’s director, she is committed to providing the best possible experience for her clients. She combines technical expertise with attentive listening to address each person’s specific needs in osteopathy, massage therapy, kinesiology, and orthotherapy.

Since the age of three months, Wendy has been learning human interaction and training for her role as an assistance dog. With a calm, curious, and enthusiastic temperament, she offers the gentle support needed to help improve your situation, regardless of your background or the challenges you may be facing.
Who is this approach aimed at?
To those in need of peace
This approach is ideal for people going through times of stress, anxiety or sadness, and for those who wish to strengthen their connection to themselves and their sensitivity through animal interaction.
Whether you are an adult facing burnout, a teenager in a period of transition, or a senior citizen seeking to break isolation, Wendy's caring presence and Mélanie's gentle support can facilitate a return to a more stable emotional state and soothe psychological and physical tensions.
To people in rehabilitation
They also work with people in post-surgical rehabilitation, patients with neurodevelopmental disorders (autism, ADHD) as well as those experiencing chronic pain or functional limitations.
For clients already engaged with our therapists, animal-assisted therapy provides additional support: it amplifies the effects of treatments by promoting relaxation, self-confidence and a better body awareness, thus creating a synergy that accelerates recovery and enriches overall well-being.
The tangible benefits
✔ Stress and anxiety reduction
Wendy's calming presence lowers cortisol and promotes the release of oxytocin, providing an immediate feeling of relaxation.
✔ Improved pain and mobility
The soft contact of the fur stimulates blood and lymphatic circulation, which reduces muscle tension and facilitates recovery after surgery or a physiotherapy session.
✔ Increased self-confidence and motivation
Interacting with a service animal creates a sense of security and belonging, encouraging participants to engage more in their care programs (osteopathy, massage therapy, orthotherapy).
✔ Cognitive and emotional stimulation
The exercises guided by Mélanie, combined with animal interaction, improve concentration, emotion regulation and body awareness, which are particularly useful for people with neurodevelopmental disorders.
